Who’s Behind the Wheel?

Such a WONDERFUL day.  Just want to take a moment and say thank You Lord, for taking my sin and washing me cleaner than snow. Thank You Jesus for the cross.

So today I was driving around on a donut tire since I couldn’t get a tire at 8 something last night.  And this morning was quite busy with kids and church and things. ….. I had an hour drive to the church I wanted to visit (maybe even make my home church) on this donut tire. Trust me it extended the drive time given you can’t go over 50 mph. With 2 lane roads and countryside scenery, I blast 91.5 JoyFM and roll down the windows.  Praising God and singing my heart out to Him. Memories of my Shane and his teachings coming back to me.  God showed me once again how   He is forever faithful. I completely understand what it means to have the joy of the Lord as my strength. I notice that the cars behind me are very close to my rear end, and soon after tailgating me for a while they swerve into the oncoming lane and around me.  Speeding in frustration. Yet the ability to go around me was there the whole while.  And if they had taken a moment to notice, you could see I was driving on a donut tire. Car after car after car did  this. With each car the happier I became.  The louder I sung. Why? Bc God was showing me things about just how much we do this. When do we slow down in our lives to notice others and their issues? How often do we become so flustered that we miss even the points of beauty? I appreciate  that I was handicapped by my donut tire. The pace gave me time to appreciate  God and all He is. Admire Jesus and His love for us. How often is God doing something and we miss it Bc it’s not fast enough? Or go around Him flustered at the pace he sets. Now I tell you,  every single car had to slam on  the breaks at some point not far ahead of me due to others exiting or entering the road. Give God the time He seeks with you,  admire His love and devotion to you,  respect that He is moving in your life and accept that His pace and timing is always perfect. While your at God’s pace enjoy the blessing that He gave you. He is the only one I want in control of my life. Just let Him drive.

  1. Hi! Just wanted to share this verse with you;

    Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us. (‭Romans‬ ‭5‬:‭3-5‬ ESV)

    I don’t have any idea of what’s going on in your life and what has happened to bring you to the point you’re at now. But I just wanted to encourage you, being a single mom and all and tell you that you are doing a good job. That’s all I wanted to say. Have a blessed week ahead 🙂
